Abstract
There is an important connection between ideology and rehabilitation after a traumatic experience that I aim to examine in my thesis. In particular, I wish to focus on the Holocaust. Looking at Elie Wiesel, I wish to examine the memoirs of this man and the life he lived after he was freed from the concentration camps. I aim to analyze his memoir and look at how he dealt with his experiences through his writing in contrast to other Holocaust survivors. With my thesis, I will examine the way this man coped with being a survivor of the Holocaust. My thesis will contain important research on why people reacted differently to being survivors of the Holocaust.
